AVAN Studios shapes how ambitious brands are seen. Many of the people and organisations we work with value privacy as much as presence, so we treat your information the way we treat a client brief: carefully, confidentially and only for the purpose it was shared.

Who we are

AVAN Studios GmbH, Löwenstrasse 65, 8001 Zurich, Switzerland, is responsible for the processing of personal data described in this policy. It applies to this website, to enquiries you send us and to the personal data we handle when working with clients and partners. For anything related to privacy, write to hello@avanstudios.ch.

What we collect

When you visit our website, our hosting provider automatically records technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and the date and time of your visit. This is needed to deliver the site securely and reliably.

When you contact us through the contact form or by email, we receive the details you choose to share, typically your name, email address, company and a description of your project or ambition.

When we work together, we process the contact, billing and project information of the people involved on the client side, along with the briefs, materials and correspondence exchanged during the engagement.

How we use it

We use personal data to reply to enquiries and prepare proposals, to deliver and manage client projects, to operate, secure and improve our website, and to meet our legal obligations, for example in accounting and tax. We do not sell personal data, we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent, and we do not make automated decisions about you.

Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on the performance of a contract or steps taken before one, our legitimate interest in running and protecting our studio and website, your consent where we ask for it, and compliance with legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We work with a small number of carefully selected service providers who process data on our behalf and only according to our instructions. These include our website platform and hosting provider Framer (Framer B.V., Netherlands), which also processes the messages you send through our contact form (Framer Forms) and delivers images and video through its content delivery network, as well as the email, file storage and accounting tools we use to run the studio. Where needed for a project, we may also share relevant information with specialist partners, such as photographers or developers, who are bound by confidentiality.

We disclose personal data to authorities only where we are legally required to do so.

International transfers

Some of our providers store or process data outside Switzerland and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. In these cases we make sure an adequate level of protection is in place, for example through the Swiss-U.S. and EU-U.S. Data Privacy Frameworks or the standard contractual clauses recognised by the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner and the European Commission.

Cookies and analytics

We keep tracking to a minimum. Our website uses technically necessary storage so that pages load correctly and securely. To understand how the site is used, we use Framer Analytics, the statistics service of our website platform Framer. It shows aggregated figures such as page views and referring websites, does not set cookies and does not build personal profiles. Some typefaces on this website are loaded from Google Fonts, a service of Google Ireland Limited. When a page loads, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which means your IP address is transmitted to Google. If we ever introduce cookies that are not strictly necessary, such as for marketing, we will ask for your consent first, and you can change your browser settings to block or delete cookies at any time.

Social media

Our website links to our profiles on Instagram and LinkedIn. These are simple links, not embedded tracking plugins. Once you follow them, the respective platform is responsible for processing your data under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected. Enquiries that do not lead to a collaboration are deleted after 24 months at the latest. Project and client records are kept for the duration of the relationship, and business and accounting documents for ten years, as required by Swiss commercial law.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what personal data we hold about you, and request that it be corrected, deleted or handed over in a commonly used format. You may object to or ask us to restrict certain processing, and withdraw any consent you have given with effect for the future. Some requests may be limited where we are legally required to keep data.

To exercise these rights, email hello@avanstudios.ch. We may ask you to confirm your identity. If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, if you are in the EU, your local supervisory authority.

Security

Confidential briefs, unreleased brand work and private client information are part of our everyday work. We protect them with encrypted connections, restricted access, carefully chosen tools and confidentiality obligations for everyone who works with us. No system is entirely without risk, but we treat your data with the same care we give to the brands we build.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our studio, services or the law evolve. The version published on this page is always the one that applies. Last updated: 23 October 2026.
