These terms explain how you may use the AVAN Studios website and the principles that guide every collaboration with us. Good partnerships start with shared expectations, so we have kept them as clear and direct as the work we aim to create.
About these terms
These terms apply to the use of this website and to services provided by AVAN Studios GmbH, Löwenstrasse 65, 8001 Zurich, Switzerland. By using the website, you accept them. Every client engagement is also governed by an individual proposal or agreement. Where that document differs from these terms, the individual agreement takes precedence.
Use of this website
This website presents our studio, our thinking and selected work. Its content is provided for general information and does not constitute an offer. You may browse, read and share links to it freely, but you may not use it in a way that is unlawful, that interferes with its operation or security, or that copies its content systematically, for example through automated scraping.
Intellectual property
The design, texts, imagery, case studies and the AVAN name and identity on this website belong to AVAN Studios or to our clients and partners. Client work is shown with their permission, and all names and marks remain the property of their respective owners. Reproducing or adapting any of this content requires our prior written consent.
Proposals and engagements
Each collaboration begins with a written proposal that defines scope, deliverables, timeline and fees. An engagement becomes binding once the proposal is signed or confirmed in writing. Changes to the agreed scope are discussed openly and confirmed in writing, as they may affect fees and timing.
Fees and payment
Unless agreed otherwise, fees are quoted in Swiss francs (CHF) and exclude VAT. Larger projects may require a deposit before work begins. Invoices are payable within 30 days. If payments are overdue, we may pause work until the account is settled.
Ownership of the work
Once all fees have been paid in full, you receive the rights of use to the final deliverables as defined in your proposal. Concepts, drafts and unselected options, as well as our own methods, tools and templates, remain with AVAN Studios. Third-party assets such as typefaces, stock imagery or software are subject to their own licences, which we will point out where relevant.
Unless we have agreed on confidentiality, we may present completed work in our portfolio and communications. Where discretion is required, we simply do not.
Confidentiality
Many of our clients operate in environments where discretion matters, from private hospitality to family offices. We treat everything you share with us in the course of a project as confidential and expect the same in return. Where required, we are glad to sign a separate non-disclosure agreement before any details are exchanged.
Working together
Great outcomes depend on a close collaboration. We ask our clients to provide accurate information, the materials needed for the project and timely feedback at agreed milestones. By supplying content such as images, texts or logos, you confirm that you hold the rights to use them. Delays in feedback or materials may shift the agreed timeline.
Liability
We take great care in maintaining this website, but we cannot guarantee that its content is always complete, current or available without interruption. To the extent permitted by law, AVAN Studios is liable only for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, and not for indirect or consequential loss. For client projects, the liability provisions of the individual agreement apply.

Our website contains links to external sites, such as client websites and our social media profiles. We have no control over their content and accept no responsibility for it. Their own terms and privacy policies apply.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page applies to the use of the website. Changes do not affect engagements already agreed, unless both parties confirm otherwise in writing.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and all engagements with AVAN Studios are governed by Swiss law, excluding its conflict of law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Zurich, Switzerland, subject to any mandatory legal provisions to the contrary.
